cras hall of fame

To enter the CRAS Hall of Fame is the greatest achievement that any Australian cricketer can achieve.  The entrant must be voted in by his peers.  To date the players below are the chosen few.

Nicky Z

The man who started the CRAS.   Nicky Z organised the first CRAS game
and his love for the game and his team can never be questioned.  After months
of travelling Nick has returned to Oz.

Siggy

  FameSiggy.jpg (17509 bytes)

Siggy was the great CRAS Captain for our first international against the West Indies.
Siggy helped the CRAS mould into a true team.  Siggy has since returned to Australia,
and is now living in Sydney.   With his departure he handed the Captaincy over to Johnno.

Johnno

Johnno has taken the CRAS into a multi-million pound media machine.  The launch of the
CRAS web site helped millions of fans world-wide keep up with news of the team and
their superstar players.  He has been Captain of the CRAS in all but 3 of his appearances.

Alex Mac - Furry # 69

It could well be said that Alex Mac single-handily won the Aussie CRAS the 2000 Round
Robin Tournament.  In a remarkable achievement he scored a total of 79 not out runs
in 3 innings.  This included breaking a bone in his foot whilst at the crease.   Then in his
next innings he scored 34 runs before getting caught.  This amounts to a century of runs.
Expect the unexpected with the Furry one, number 69.

Dimi

When Johnno appointed Dimi as his Co-Captain no-one would've been surprised that one day
the Victorian would end up in the CRAS Hall of Fame.    Dimi does a fine job for the CRAS
behind the stumps whilst being extremely handy with the bat.

Buggers

Buggers a man not to mess with on or off the field!

Buggers is the CRAS's right arm express pace bowler and Vice Captain.  Was never seen without his trusty CRAS stubby holder on the boys recent trip to Barcelona.  However he cemented his entry into the CRAS Hall of Fame after doing the deed in the Gents room at the CRAS Headquarters Belushi's on a barmy Friday evening with a more than willing young CRAS groupie.  The news was sent via Text Message to every CRAS member by Johnno within minutes of the news breaking.  Super effort that by all involved!  Godfather Musca quote shortly after - "And you get the whole bed to yourself tonight.... oh yeah!!!"

Phil Farthing Senior

The CRAS Documentary proved a point we all already knew - Phil Farthing Senior the CRAS
Umpire is a living legend.  The feedback from the boys on the documentary demanded that
Phil Senior be inducted into the CRAS Hall of Fame.  He has officiated in two CRAS matches.
The first against the Kiwi's which was rained out - however he awarded the game to the CRAS
as none of the opposition turned up to get hammered at Belushi's Bar that afternoon.  His
other game was CRAS vs. South Africa in 2001, which the CRAS also won.  He also traveled with the CRAS to Lords for the Ashes and a number of other Ashes functions.
